Who are we?
ArcaPay is an online foreign exchange and international payment services provider for private individuals and small/medium businesses.
Is there a minimum amount I can transfer?
The minimum transaction size is £100 for private individuals and £1 for businesses.
Which countries can I send money to?
We currently offer payments from the UK to all 19 eurozone member states: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain.
How much does it cost?
There are absolutely no transaction or any other hidden fees. Our focus on higher value payments (£100+) allows us to provide you with the cheapest way to transfer money.
What exchange rate does ArcaPay use?
Our exchange rate is based on a live interbank market exchange rate. This is why it keeps moving throughout the day. Our active market risk management allows us to provide you with the rate that is usually significantly better than the one offered by our competitors.
How to initiate a transfer?
1. Check live currency exchange rate using our calculator and submit recipient’s details.
2. Make a local payment to ArcaPay bank account using your online banking.
3. Upon receipt of your funds, we will make a local payment to the recipient no later than the next business day.
How long does the payment process take?
We aim to process your payments as quickly as possible. As such, we guarantee that the recipient will receive your payment no later than on the next business day.
Will a local transfer to ArcaPay cost me anything?
Local transfers between banks in the UK are usually free and your payment through our account should free of charge. However, you will have to check the exact charge with your own bank.
Why we need to confirm your identity?
Similarly to banks and other financial services providers, we follow anti-money laundering guidelines and need to complete the verification of your identity. We ask for it straight after your initial registration.
For the verification of your identity, we will ask for a photo-copy of your ID document, which can be:
- Passport photo page;
- National ID card;
- Driver’s licence.
Is it safe to use ArcaPay?
As safe as in a bank. We use large commercial banks for holding your money. In addition, we are authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under the Payment Services Regulations 2009 (firm reference number 670226) for the provision of payment services and licensed as a money transmitter and bureau de change by HM Revenue and Customs (registration number 12677942).
How ArcaPay protect my identity?
ArcaPay takes all necessary means to keep your personal data safe. We collect and process user information in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998, thus the security and confidentiality of your personal details are guaranteed.
